Audio Visual - Update

Hey there,

Haven't updated my blog in a while, been doing other things and forgot to blog.

Whilst I have been away I have been doing many things with my time, I have learnt how to import photos from RAW and turn them into .jpg in photoshop I have also been editing them within a RAW editior.

After I had finished them within the RAW editior we was then ask to pick a selection of our best photos that we had manged to take, put them in abode premier and create a short film from them.
For the film we was required to record a voiceover of a poem we then had to add a ambient nature noise to the short film. I have completed this and will be uploading it too my blog tonight!!

I think I have done pretty well at this considering I haven't used adobe premier before like ever!!! I managed to pick it up rather quickly, adding the effects to the images was a nice as well, I managed to get some quite cool effects within the short film.

When I went to the Botanic Gardens Of Wales, I focused on taking photographs of the water features and the rivers they had flowing through the gardens. I got some really nice images, and really enjoyed using the camera properly for the first time.

This is just one example for this image I didn't edit this at all, it was shot with a low aperture, which allowed me to capture the water flowing and it gave off a smokey looking effect. I got lucky with this shot because of the light, luckily enough there was a dark enough area for me to capture this photo in.

Before heading to the Botanic Gardens I did some research into what is there, none of the flowers or landscapes took my fancy, which was a shame since they was very nice, so I was a bit stumped once I reached there. However once I arrived at the Gardens, I saw the water features and pictures of the lakes that they had there. When we was learning about aperture and shutter speed in class we was shown some pictures of water and waterfalls, this is were I got the inspiration for my photographs from.

I really like this photo it is one of the few landscapes that I have managed to capture well,  I did take a few pictures of landscapes whilst at the gardens but I this once one of the only ones that I managed to capture properly and I am rather impressed with it!

I have other pictures but I will upload them when I upload my short clip. I throughly enjoyed my time at the Botanic Gardens though, usually it wouldn't be my first choice of places to go on a day trip too but because the purpose of the trip was to take photos I think I did pretty well.
